“How do you trace an Email?”

Quite often i am being asked about this simple question. Most of you know that any email can be traced by just looking at the Header information of the Email.

But that is possible for Emails sent by Email clients like Outlook Express, because they use SMTP(Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) to send the mails.

SMTP is a protocol used to send Mails from one system to another system, so each time when SMTP sends mail it includes the IP address of the local system(source address) in Email’s header.

But web based clients like Gmail, Hotmail use HTTP to send the Messages, as people will be interacting with their web browsers which work through HTTP.

So in order to include the source addresses these clients use the IP address determined by the Web Browser so you can still find them on the message header.

Once you log on to Gmail, you click any mails in the inbox, that will open up the mail. Next when you click down arrow displayed after reply icon displayed at the top of your mail you will get a drop down menu. Here is how it looks.

Now click on “Show original” you will get the header information.

That’s it all about Gmail’s option to see the header information. Hope some one may benefit from this post.

Today is the Birth Day of Subhash Chandra bose A Forgotten Hero, who among many other helped India to win its Freedom.Very Less people remember this day and even very less people speak about him these days. Every one is so busy earning the Money and they forget those people who sacrificed their life for freedom and for our own future.

I just wanted people to read about it so that they can remember the great Hero.

Recently i visited Chennai for some work, and that day i came to know that “Azadi Express” train was in chennai .The train, which showcases the ‘heroic moments’ of the freedom struggle through tableaux, pictures, exhibits and portraits, is the brainchild of the Directorate of Advertising and Visual Publicity, the Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting to mark the 150th anniversary of the ‘First War of Independence’.

In the first bogey i saw one poster on which Lord Macaulay’s speech given around 02 Feb 1835 in British Parliament regarding INDIA was written which is reproduced below.

“I have traveled across the length and breadth of India and I have not seen one person who is a beggar, who is a thief. Such wealth I have seen in this country, such high moral values, people of such calibre, that I do not think we would ever conquer this country, unless we break the very backbone of this nation, which is her spiritual and cultural heritage, and, therefore, I propose that we replace her old and ancient education system, her culture, for if the Indians think that all that is foreign and English is good and greater than their own, they will lose their self-esteem, their native self-culture and they will become what we want them, a truly dominated nation.”

From this one can know how British dominated INDIA and Indian’s.

At last i want to conclude with a salutation to India and Indians ” Jai Hind”.

Quotes by Subhas Chandra Bose :

1. “Give me blood, and I shall give you freedom!”
2. “No real change in history has ever been achieved by discussions… Freedom is not given, it is taken.. One individual may die for an idea; but that idea will, after his death, incarnate itself in a thousand lives. That is how the wheel of evolution moves on and the ideas and dreams of one nation are bequeathed to the next…”

Here is the transcript of the chat happened between My Cyber Twin( See below the Google Map) which is a Artificial Robot trained by me and a Girl named Anjali.

I don’t know who is this Anjali ( but now i want to know her because of her innocent questions which helped my trained robot to behave like me which is a success towards Artificial Intelligence Research and also because my twin mentioned “I’m glad someone noticed!“).As per my exploration i think Anjali is from Chennai and she was looking for ASP.NET interview questions.

Here it goes………(Read and Enjoy,if you are Anjali then keep in touch with me by sending mail to kiranthechallenger[AT]

Hope you people enjoyed the Chat. By the way with all this things what you can understand is, Intelligence is based on Experience and Experience comes with time. So what i think is we can build an Artificial Intelligence only with Experience that comes with time.

Any body interested in AI can keep in touch with me so that we can share and exchange ideas.
